Indian cricket stars Smriti Mandhana, Richa Ghosh, and Deepti Sharma have been named to the prestigious ICC Women's T20I Team of the Year 2024. Mandhana, the elegant left-handed opener, has been in exceptional form throughout 2024. Her year began with a brilliant 54 against Australia and ended with three consecutive half-centuries against the West Indies at home.

The 27-year-old finished with 763 runs in 23 matches, including eight half-centuries, an average of 42.38, and a strike rate of 126.53. These performances catapulted her to the second spot in the ICC Women’s T20I Batting Rankings.

Richa Ghosh, known for her explosive batting style, was another standout player for India. The wicketkeeper-batter was in sensational touch, starting the year with a blistering 64* off 29 balls against UAE.

Ghosh amassed 365 runs in 21 matches, striking at an impressive strike rate of 156.65 and averaging 33.18. Her performances in key moments have earned her a reputation as one of the brightest young talents in world cricket.

All-rounder Deepti Sharma has been pivotal to India’s success in 2024. With both bat and ball, Deepti’s contributions were invaluable. She took 30 wickets in 2024 at an average of 17.80, maintaining a solid economy rate of 6.01.

Her best bowling figures of 3/13 against Nepal and 3/20 against Pakistan in the Women’s Asia Cup helped India maintain their winning momentum throughout the year.

The ICC Women’s T20I Team of 2024, captained by South Africa's Laura Wolvaardt, also includes top performers from around the world.
